KENTUCKY!

I think that this maybe the longest update ever recorded in history.  Just to let you know, so you can sit back and get comfortable.

I just had the most amazing week of my life.  Kentucky was an ABSOLUTE blast, I just...wow!  Plus, I didn't have to see my mom for three whole days!  Anyways, so it started out on Friday morning.  I had only gotten 2 1/2 hours of sleep, because I was so excited, and I had to be up at five.  We drove all the way to Kentucky, and we were all laughing at the stupid things that Amber and Laura and Tess said.  God, they are hilarious.  So anywho, we go to cheerleading, (which was at the Louisville All-Star Gym) and meet our instuctors.

Matt McGrath...he is THE cheerleading legend of the south.  If you go down there, you hear about Matt from Cheer Athletics.  Our star tumbler Tye (from Oklahoma) used to be friends with him at competitions and they would hang out together with the rest of the Cheer Athletics guys.  So anyways, he was the dance/motions/jumps choreographer.  It was so funny.  Okay, so you should never just judge someone to be gay when you see them, because they could just be REALLY feminine, but this guy was GAY.  He had shaved arms, legs, and armpits, clear nail-polish on, and walked really cute.  I LOVED him.  In fact, I even have an article that was written about him:

Widely considered the top cheerleader athlete in the country, Matt started with CA in 1999, winning a UCA National Championship with the Jags. He joined CA full time in 2001 as both an instructor and athlete. In honor of his once-in-a-lifetime talent and ability, we created the Matt McGrath Award, given annually to the the top graduating senior. Matt now cheers for the University of Louisville

Then there was Nick.  He was another guy from Cheer Athletics (like, the top gym in the nation) and he was the stunts/tumbling choreographer.  He funny, and really cute, but he was the straight one.  Yeah, he helped us a TON with our stunts and basket-tosses.

So yeah, we started learning the routine (which is the best ever!) and then went home at five, after about five hours of cheer.  We were pretty tired, but we heard that Kelly (our coach) was taking us to the mall, and we were up.  Unfortunately, we had five girls in our room, and the others had about three or four, so we had to really hurry with the showers and stuff.  But it was cool, we went to this massive mall and I got a jacket on sale, a shirt on sale, and a T-shirt that says "Getting Lucky in Kentucky!"  I couldn't resist, I had to get the souvineer shirt.

Yeah, so then I went back to the hotel after only covering half the mall in two hours, and hung out with the older girls on the team.  Britney and Jen and all them were really nice, they're more my age, maybe a couple years older.  We played cards, mostly spoons (with Twizzlers) and Egyptian Rat-Screw.  It was so funny, because Britney and Megan would get sooo agressive when they were fighting over the last Twizzler.  Plus, Britney was on the phone and was like "yeah, we're playing Egyptian Monkey", and we all burst out laughing, because we had no idea where the 'monkey' came from.  HAHA, wow, I think we all lost a couple pounds from laughing so hard.  Anywho, we had to be in our rooms by eleven, because Kelly and Deb (our other coach) taped our doors shut from the outside so that they would know if we left.  But my room stayed up until about two-thiry talking and stuff, until we FINALLY went to bed because it was going to be one heck of a long day the next day.

Me and Kastin got up and went to Cracker-Barrel the next morning at seven, and then came back to the hotel while everyone else was eating and slept for another thirty minutes.  Then we went to cheer again and learned all the routine but the dance.  We got a new cheer, and new words, cause last year's sucked.  This year's are funny, and kind of fit the attitude of the team and junk.  That basically sums up that day, and Matt even said that we had a better work ethic than his Louiville teams.  And you have to understand, this Louiville gym was FILLED with National Champions banners.  It was crazy.

Yeah, so after eight straight hours of cheer, we went back to the hotel and had the same drill, come back and shower and get ready.  We went to the Hard Rock Cafe that night, which was okay (food wise) but Laura kept singing along (*really loudly*) to the music videos playing, and then Amber and Tess got up and did the "Matt" dance.  Matt had been screwing around earlier and did the really finny raise-the-roof looking thing and then these pumps.  Wow, I think I have a picture of that actually.  Then we walked along the pier of the Ohio River (or some other river, who knows?) and went back to the hotel.  Luckily, Kelly didn't make us go to bed until like...one.  So me and Emily, Tess, Kastin, Anika, and Keely all played Egyptian Rat-Screw.  Wow, I really love Emily now, she would scream every time she didn't get the slap on the sandwhich and double cards.  HAHA, so yeah, we went to bed at about three that night.

This morning (sad isn't it) we woke up late, had to pack and be out the door for cheer in twenty minutes.  When we got there, it was finally time to learn our dance, which was awesome, and I'm kinda in the front this year!  YAY!  Another funny thing that happened was Nick was out talking on his cell phone and all of the sudden we see him outside crouching down with his phone on his ear yelling "oh my god, oh my god".  We thought it was just a bee, but he comes running in and is like "There were two huge racoons in that dumpster that were about to jump on my face!"  It was soooo funny to see this buff, full-grown man do that.  Hehe, then we took a couple team photos with Matt and Nick, and some of them individually, and I even got one of each of their standing fulls.  It was saw-weet!

Then we drove back here, which was okay, it was highlighted by Kirsten and Kaely mooning Deb's van, and Amber and Laura (who are young and FLAT) flashing us.  Haha, so now I just got back and I think it is needless to say that I LOVE KENTUCKY.  I will miss Matt and Nick soooo much, and I would have gladly stayed there another meh...month or so.  Just cheering for so many hours of that reminds me of my beloved team Twist and Shout in Oklahoma.  (which, by the way, both of the guys commented on me being from there)

So now I'm back home, and I need a shower, because we couldn't take one after we cheered.  *sigh* I guess I'm just going to have to unpack and read my new Harry Potter book.  Yes, I'm a nerd, and yes, I'm excited that it's finally out!  Yipppeeee.
